Q WHY SHOULD I OUTSOURCE CAD SERVICES?

This is the first and foremost question of all new clients of outsourcing services. The reasons to outsource CAD services are very similar to the reasons many large companies have already outsourced customer service, data entry, billing, human resources and legal services.

Q WHO WILL BE MY POINT OF CONTACT?

A project manager is assigned to as the point of contact for all clients. Your project manager will review your project and assign it to an appropriate cad drafting team. The project manager will coordinate the work with his team and relay any questions or comments they may have to you. You will be able to communicate directly with the project manager regarding the technical aspects of the project. We believe proper communication is the key to a successful project. That's why our project managers are available by phone and e-mail to answer your questions about scope, progress and additions to your project. If possible, you should also establish a single contact person for the point of contact on your side.

QWHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT MY DESIGNER ABOUT MY CURRENT PROJECT?

During the course of a project deign you should communicate with your project manager by using their individual company e-mail. This will assure that all communication and replies are saved with the project, and can be referred to later if needed. If you need to contact us by phone or in person, we will follow up with a summary e-mail documenting the subject matter discussed.

Q WHAT IF I NEED A SITE VISIT?

We will coordinate site visits between you and your project designer at your request subject to prior commitments by your project designer. If you need someone on site for more than one day, that can also be arranged. Travel and lodging expenses will be added to your project if required.

Q WHAT ARE YOUR NORMAL WORKING HOURS?

Normal business hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday. And 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday.

Q WHAT IS THE COST?

Each project is unique, therefore a proposal is provided for the client's approval on every project. Projects can be billed on a lump sum, hourly, or hourly not to exceed basis. In general, a minimum project cost is a $300.00 however Educator services and Individual Technology Training are not subject to a minimum fee. Clients with multi-project agreements have no minimum fee per project.

Q WHAT IS THE PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT?

We accept payments via Check, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Payment by check may require confirmation of check clearance prior to release of full work product for new customers.

Q HOW DO I GET ELECTRONIC FILES OF MY PAPER PLOTS?

The easiest way to get electronic files of paper plots is to have them scanned at your local copy center (i.e. FedEx Kinkos, Staples, Office Depot or UPS Store). It is also possible to mail the plans to our office if that is easier. Standard shipping charges would apply if plans are required to be returned.

Q HOW DO I SEND LARGE FILES?

Our email system can handle files up to 50 Mb. If the size of the files exceeds this, we use the Dropbox cloud based FTP system for fast efficient sharing of files.

Q WHAT DRAWING STANDARDS ARE USED?

We will use your company's drawing standards if you provide them. If you do not have specific standards, we will help you develop a CAD standard for your company.

Q HOW ARE PLANS CONVERTED TO CAD?

Our network is well protected with hardware firewalls and updated anti-virus software. Additionally all document storage is well protected and no unauthorized person is allowed to enter the premises. A secure FTP server is utilized for data transfer of large files and data storage devices are password protected.

Q WHAT IS OUR CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY?

We understand our client's concerns regarding confidentiality. All data provided by the client will be kept confidential and will be the property of the client. Our firm and staff agree that no information regarding the project will be disclosed to any third party, without the prior consent of the client. If requested by the client, we have no issues signing a non-disclosure agreement for any project.
